Believe it or not, in oldness, you can realize many of the dreams you set for yourself when you were young.
Such was the case for an elderly woman who hoped to get her GED after giving up on high school decades ago and saw her dream become reality at age 90.

Ellouise just got her wish, due to the pleasant staff at her retirement home, Gulfport Care Center.
Her dream was uncovered by Activities Director Lisa Perdue, who found a regional Christian school, Wells of SouthGate, that could help the senior get her GED.

Elloise started studying to take the mock test given by the educational center.
He took the exam and got a GED with honors. Although it is not an official GED, it has qualified for one.
Ellouise received her certificate from the training center during a ceremony at the retirement home. Elloise, dressed in a ball gown, cried as she fulfilled her life’s ambition.

“I was so cheerful when they said to me I could get my GED here. “I’m still happy,” he told WLOX. “I’m sorry, but realizing that I can do this makes me joyful. ”I never had the chance to graduate until this day.”
“To be capable to accomplish this is a green light for me and my teammates,” added Lisa Perdue.

Elloise is the educational center’s first honorary GED recipient. Leonard Martin, who exhibited the woman with a certificate, said it was “great to be a part of” and wished more people would “follow in his direction”.
