Animals’ ability to express gratitude is amazing. This mother elephant devised a means of expressing her gratitude to the individuals who not only saved her life but also provided her with love, care, and support.

After eight years, Yatta made the decision to go see the people who had become like her family.
She wanted to express her gratitude to those who had been kind to her.
She wasn’t the only one, either. By bringing her infant to show the caregivers at the sanctuary, Yatta surprised them. This tender moment was captured on film.

At the facility, this touching gesture warmed everyone’s hearts. Yoyo was given to the small animal.
Yetu, Yatta’s first child, has previously been seen by the staff. She seemed to want to show her trust and affection for her child by bringing her to a place where she was loved and cared for.

She would never forget those lovely ten years at the center, when she was surrounded by love and comfort.

Elephants frequently return to their most comfortable environments.
Here is a lovely video of a mother elephant congratulating her dedicated caregivers.
