Spending half a day outside of their home, making new friends, and purchasing new school supplies were among the highlights. That passion became significantly more intense under Preston Jones Jr. He brought his ability to dance with him.
On the first day of classes, Jones Jr. demonstrated how to enter each class. The volunteer who had lined the road in front of the school’s entrance became energised as he got closer. Jones Jr. moved around rather than walking.
He maneuvered the receivers, who gave him fives, using flamboyant and sophisticated footwork.
Even one of them shared his enthusiasm. He continued dancing and entered the school through the main entrance after passing the greeters.
« I was ecstatic. » The student in kindergarten stated, « I felt great. » The school’s teachers were ecstatic to see the outpouring of enthusiasm.
As his mother and father have noted, Jones Jr. has always been a shining beacon of hope.
The newspaper also heard from one of his parents that she was glad her dancing child had brought optimism to a world that needed it.
