A farmer once noticed a little wild animal strolling the streets of his town in the middle of the day.
Initially, he couldn’t figure out what kind of animal it was, so he approached to have a better look and realized it was a little bear cub.

The uninvited furry intruder was hungry and thirsty when he arrived.
When Nikolay, a Belarusian farmer, came upon the forlorn and lost little creature, he decided to take him in and care for him.
In its infancy, the bear cub was too weak and vulnerable to survive on its own in the wild.

To put him in a cage for the rest of his life was not something Nikolay wanted to do.
Nikolay deduced that the mother of the cub could be nearby, so he and his hunting partners set out to locate her.
After two days of searching, they had to call it quits on their quest to find the bear’s mother.

In order to get an answer to his question, Nikolay decided to call the authorities and explain the situation.
To his dismay, he was met with a barrage of useless advice.
It was up to the individual to decide whether or not to put the little creature down or release him back into the wild.

Putting the bear cub down wasn’t an option for Nikolay since he knew that he couldn’t leave him in the wild.
Nikolay received a bear cub passport soon after, certifying his legal status within the group. Vasilisa was his name.
Vasilisa will be able to live in peace and luxury in a house built by Nikolay for her.
