Titus is a dog that Lewis Jimenez adopted from a shelter. When the man first saw the dog walking close to the Austin, Texas, animal shelter, he instantly fell in love. Lewis initially had no interest in owning a pet, but after getting to know Titus, he has changed his mind.
« When I first saw him in the shelter’s garden, my head was whirling. I told myself, « This is your dog, pal! » « , Lewis remarked subsequently. The dog was taken in by the man, and they grew close.
Titus was 2 years old at the time, and 5 years had already passed. Lewis could not fathom his life without the dog once it had become a part of it.
Titus had nowhere to go because the man could not find any friends or neighbors who would take care of the dog. Lewis promised to take the puppy back when he dropped him off at the shelter, but the staff at the shelter frequently overheard people saying this when they abandoned their dogs, so they did not believe Lewis when he made that promise.
« We commonly hear individuals vow to return for their pets, but they never come back, » said Jenna, a shelter employee. Dogs go through a lot of stress at the same time and can stop eating.
The dog appeared to be unsatisfied in the shelter. Whenever he could, Lewis paid him a visit, but their encounters were challenging for both of them.
He was looking for a new residence where he could bring his pet.
And thankfully, that day has arrived. Titus was picked up by Lewis who then drove him home. It was quite heartwarming to see these two together again.
