At first, the Walkers were slow to settle down, make new friends and bond with their neighbors. In January 2019, Joe decided to travel to Sierra Leone for the first time in his life.
Jamie helped him prepare for the trip and informed him that she knew he was going to help children in need, as he had already visited Guatemala in 2018 with Pencils of Promise.
