Max Abramov is living proof that anything is possible if you really want to do something.
The Russian boy is already a talented skateboarder at just 10 years old.Given that he only uses his hands and arms, it’s a pretty impressive feat.
When Max’s tragic accident occurred, he was just six months old and had been neglected.In 2011, the baby’s bed caught fire, forcing doctors to amputate both of his legs.In less than a year, he was adopted into his new family in St. Petersburg.
A skateboard made it much simpler for Max to move around as he got older.However, he didn’t realize he wanted to be a professional skater until one day when he accidentally rolled into a skate park.
He met a coach there who supported him.His mother then suggested that he work with someone to improve his skills.
As a result, Max’s mother paired him up with coach Pavel Mushkin, who always encourages Max to try new moves that are not familiar to him.
Max has learned to master difficult tricks with his assistance.In point of fact, the extent of his talent has grown to the point where he has recently piqued the interest of legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk!
I really want to participate in the Olympics.Even if I don’t win, at least I can participate.Max stated, « I would know how it feels to skate with…professional skaters. »
